actually I dont think it is a fair comparison to compare crimes committed by an occupying military force to crimes commited by wealthy affluent college kids upon their supposed friends and classmates. Of course they are both reprehensible, but the rise of the latter is an indication of a very different underlying pathology. We dont want civil society to mirror the behaviors of an occupying military force, right? Is the rape club OK because some soldiers commited some rapes during WW2?

This idea is quickly changing because there is a lot of emerging economies in the late 1990s like the Middle East, South Korea and Taiwan.
