silver has the density of 92.5% that of lead which doesn't explain the findings. of course an ill fitting (smaller) round is going to be less powerful however because the gases from the charge would be lost as the round was fired. once again, altho i like mythbusters i wish they wouldn't sacrifice science for entertainment value. as many believe this on face value. a fair test with same quality rounds would have gave the answers they were looking for but a lot more accurately.

No, I feel quite secure. Not everyone can say the same though. You did realize this video is about using silver to make bullets? Silver like gold is a valuable resource, it has been used as currency for over 2,000 years. It also has many other uses that are beneficial to society. Perhaps your anger might be more justified toward the wealthy (like celebrities) and their millions of dollars of diamond gold,platinum, encrusted jewelry, or dog houses, or other rediculous extravagant purchases.

You must feel pretty insecure to be so concerned about self defense... My concern is when people have no regard for resources and the environment, and when I read how someone's talking about using gold in bullets (as an example) I think that's very fucking stupid. You can look up all the good and beneficial applications of gold yourself, not to mention it's the best thing to secure money. If you're alive in 20 years time you'll know why I'm pissed off about people who aren't resource conscious

Self defense has nothing to do with the fictional movie character Rambo. Gold might be considered a better self defense round because you will only shoot it if you really need to. Self defense is only about protecting yourself, or others, not about blasting away carelessly. Do you own or shoot firearms? If not, why the concern about the cost of using any particular type of ammo? If you don't believe in guns for Self defense or hunting, do you target shoot? What would you want the gold used for?

Cyanide only used to extract gold from low grade ore. Gold can actually be found in nuggets. Lead at most is 10% in an ore. Obviously you didn't read my first post. Lead does do a good job. Gold is an alternative that would be Expensive and is better for the environment. Either will work as a core, with a silver jacket to make a silver bullet. Hunting is quite common here in the US. Only legal during a certain times of the year though. I am not a fan of mcdonalds. I don't eat there. Cont.---

I got my Super Snake about 3 months ago and i'v already had to replace the tires 4 times!! By far the most fun i have ever had with my clothes on! after all aftermarket parts she's putting out about 1200 hp.. Fuckin expensive but well worth the price!

The biggest danger when drafting is not hitting the vehicle, its that you can't see the road coming at you, one unexpected bad pot hole and your down and get run over by the traffic behind you. Its no big deal to do 50-60 mph I've done it many times. You run out of gears before you run out of energy. I'm to fond of living theses days so I've given it up.

They were probably worried of the dangers of going at high speed. If you have an easier time going at an ordinary speed while drafting, then plausibly you could go at much higher speed, with the same effort as it would take to get to the ordinary speed without drafting. Bikes however do not have the safety features a car has in case of a high speed accident. If they went at high speed, and the semi had to stop suddenly, or Tory slipped on the slick pavement, serious injury could have resulted.

There are so many variables that would need to be implemented in the myth to have the exact conditions of when Gunny Hathcock took the shot. Gunny Hathcock made his shot at about 500 yards. Adam and Jamie took their shot at about 10 yards. Big difference there. For one, at a far distance like that, the bullet would have more energy behind it and would likely easily be able to penetrate a scope and go through the enemy snipers eye.

Actually, I think they started off with the "weaker" bullet because the myth was based on an old Vietnam war story. They were trying hard to reproduce the conditions of the Vietnam sniper's story. My guess is that the bullet/scope combination was as close as possible to a Vietnam-era gun.

Great car but America needs to start thinking about using smaller more fuel efficient engines in their cars. Petrol isn't limitless in supply and carbon is damaging the planet. all you get here is plenty of vinyl and plastic. 40 years old ancient sock engine being refined over and over again and now with the help of supercharger, but at least its good that they change the paint on the valve cover ones in a while to make the shit look modern, they had red, black and now on the new sup top one ZR1 valve cover painted blue, just adding up litter after litter to displacement this junk hope for the best.
