Take a look at the work of Dr. Robert O. Traditional Chinese medicine is proven, but there are still questions about exactly HOW it works. This video does nothing to solve that mystery. It doesn't explain, for instance, how the parts of the tongue are connected to other parts of the body. Until we see a more satisfactory explanation, it will remain an open question whether or not the positive effects of Chinese medicine are those of a powerful placebo backed by 1000+ years of history.

One more thing. If this is quakery then how come almost half of the U.S. and more everyday turn to atleast one form of alternative medicine. Im sure that many people wouldn't spend there hard earned money for something that doesn't work. Also, why would insurance companies be covering these treatments if they were not proven? Some states such as california actually require them to cover it by law. Like I said before, educate yourselves.

I would suggest any non-comedogenic face wash. It's very good at cutting down grease, and it doesn't clog up pores. After that I apply a little bit of non-comedogenic lotion; rub it in so that it doesn't leave any greasy residue. Cetaphil is a good and common brand.

These videos are on point! I say splurge on a quality DE razor and badger brush...I use the futur kit and it will probably out live me. I also highly recommend a light pre-shave oil, my fav is truefitt and hill...please don't be afraid of the price of any of these items because they all last a ridiculously long time. I also use a natural alum stone (block) which really works well. The fact is a DE razor will last forever, soap soap last about a year and so does the pre-shave oil! ENJOY

Another thing that affects lather quality is water hardness. For harder water you will need mush more soap or cream. Load the brush with just a bit more cream, about the size of an almond, and start to lather. The brush should be damp, but NOT WET. You can always add water, but it;s very hard to remove water. Try it out, and good luck!

Lars1540- In front of the Proraso is a sample vial of a cologne (I don't recall which one) and a limited edition shaving brush by Shavemac. The razor is a Merkur Progress. Behind the Progress is indeed witch hazel (Thayers), "DaVinci Water" (a hydrosol from QEDUSA), and Trumper's "Skin Food" (limes scent). I use witch hazel as a final cleanup of my skin before applying aftershave balm (or in this case Skin Food). I'm working on a video about aftershaves that will explain further.

I'd try looking at the reviews section of BadgerandBlade [dot] com. Also, I think it's mostly the razor that is different for hard beards. Look at the reviews for these too to see which ones are more aggressive (better for hard beards). Just about any good cream should protect your face.
