Look...I would imagine that most if not all of us who have viewed this video is because we are fans of Mark Knopfler. The reasons we are fans of Knopfler may have some variety, however, at the core of this variety is the fact that the man is a great songwriter and his guitar playing is genius. Go on and keep telling yourself that...that is like saying any acoustic song sans drums is nothing. Knopfler wrote and recorded this song with great percussion no question. The guitar in this song is absolutely amazing and is complimented nicely by that percussion. You take the guitar out of this song and then you do not have much. Have you ever noticed how Knopfler sings his story and then plays the story by guitar following the vocals? The drums merely add tempo...they do not tell the story!

I've seen this live, and I was overwhelmed by the drums! They have this great crescendo towards the end of the song and the drummer just sat there bent over his drums, oblivious to the world. It really was amazing, but unfortunately no recording of the concert (not even the official dvd) was able to capture the sensation the drums gave me...

Rob is a good rider. He competed this year at the Gold Cup in Adelaide on a Grasstrack outfit, against all the purpose built speedway machines. The main design of the modern track racing sidecar is due to the fact that we only turn one direction (right hand). It is quite difficult to turn left on the outfits at crawling pace and completely impossible at race speed.

I saw him in Boston July 19, 08. The BEST concert, ever! I could hear Speedway @ Nazareth every day and not get tired of it. Danny Cummings on drums is a genius. They played all my favorites, Local Hero, So Far Away, Why Worry, ... so many great songs. Mark is a(The) Master guitarist, making it look SO easy. Everyone I talked to on the way out was so impressed!! Six stars!! Makes me proud to be a Scot.

guys i think its a gorgeous car...i always prefer the underdog for some reason as they put in extra effort to come out with something better...its faster than a carrera and costs half as much...of course you can compare it to a ferrari, they have racing pedigree and lambo's make hyper cars that mess with g strings and not g forces..haha clarkson is class!!

but that is a ROAD car.... You are comparing it with track day cars which doesn't have a big boot, four seats and all the gizmo stuffs on it. It's an everyday car that you could use on the road or track......

@darrylisthemen it is probably just the one that that dentist has because japanese cars are very famous for qaulity and if anything happens very cheap to fix as for euro cars no one complains about maintenance(very expensive and encounters many problems on them because they are rich they dont care and american cars are probably even worse qaulity cheap to fix though

well when you take it to the track bring a full pit crew and few spares of everything, because a track is much harder on a car than the street. if you have the money to just dump it down the drain, by all means have at it. But there are better track day cars than this piece of junk.

Ultimate track car my arse. It'll break in 30 min. Top Gear needed two just to do the power laps. Gt-r = Godzilla = nothing but a figment of the media and your imagination. It's no where near as good as anyone thinks it is. I'm not rich and do not own one. But my dentist is rich and used to own one. He blew the clutch in 5 days and has to wait 8+ months for a new one. GTR sucks.

i've got some bad news for youi Australian guys interested in the GTR. Nissan has come out and confirmed that there will be no lauch control or satellite navigation on Australian GTR models..... meaning that it is now impossible for an AUS Spec GTR to do 0-100KMH in 3.5seconds :( apparently this is because it places too much stress on the mountings and components of the gearbox....... DAMN!!!!!
