empathising here. I think being bi polar puts us on another level, we recognise so much more. I can safely say having an exremely wide emotional scale helps me understand the severity of my flip switch. Lots of great musicians are playing music from the very end of the emotional scale, and thankfully being bi polar allows us to stretch further and undertand just that little bit extra.

It' true and it' history... Siouxie was with an embryonic Banshees line up that included Sid Vicious at a gig at 100 club early on 1976 along side The Pistols the Clash the Damned and the Subway Sect, another great band almost forgotten now but highly inluential in all the post punk diramtions.... not to mention that the posse Siouxie was in, The Bromley Contigent were the core of the very firstPistols supporter ( maybe 12/15 people incliding Malcom ...)Siouxie rules.....

Being Bi Polar is like being a genius stuck in a cage. Brilliant and a lot more unique than most people. A lot of great musicians and artists and philosophers were Bi Polar or Manic depressive. It is all about focusing in on the genius part. Being able to connect patterns no one else but a select few on earth might understand. And feeling every single emotion as you ride the highs and lows. I love my highs. But when I am low I want to die. EMO guys seem to effeminate even for a faggot like me.

Could it get any better...? Juju will go down as one of the best albums ever! The sound is timeless, even if you're not into punk/goth. It simply does not "wear out". Fantastic.

Siouxsie and the Banshees were at the heart of the punk revolution and could be found at all the earliest gigs.That said they were the last to get it together as they couldnt get a record company for some time.Like the Damned there music evolved over time and carried on years after punk which is a sign of a very good band!

The Damned and Siouxsie were doing goth music before the word goth was even invented.Anybody who likes this and are unaware of the Damned check out Plan 9 Channel 7.Also the Damned believe it or not have just released a new album called So Who's Paranoid.Check it out because considering they are now over 50 it sounds fresh,the instrument playing is fantastic and they put a lot of modern bands to shame!

My parent's are fairly conservative, religious types, so after the whole Columbine thing, I wasn't allowed to dress "goth." That was in middle school. It was hard work juggling the two, but it was necessary to earn a paycheque and have a social life. i first heard them on kpfk in 1980 the song was "fireworks" they're also great live, saw them in LA during the 1984 tour. has anyone wondered why the intro music on their live LP,that dates me, is the "rights on spring" by stravinsky, it's because he got rotten veggies and fruit thrown at him when he first played it, just like the banshees got shit thrown at them during their first live appearance and i think BILLY IDOL stood in playing on that gig. just adding some history about the band.
