Yea I saw the two gears for the counter rotation. If your not familiar with the Mini Dozer it uses two drive belts for each track the counter rotation comes from two of the belts(LH-RH) running on their outside and over pullies for reverse. We had an old 610 Bobcat skid steer that used a similar design but with roller chain and 4 clutchs.

This short clip shows the initial field and gunnery trials. Information on how the gun works is restricted to only scaledtanks.com senior members who have tank builder status. No pyrotechnics or combustible gas is used to fire the gun. Only compressed air is used.

i think he has held off the painting is because of the cold weather WA has over here (im from WA aswell). I'm not ganna build a tank but i like the idea. Just a couple picky things i would say about your sherman, you missing a couple fine details and i don't really know of and camo scheme that has black patches like that. Your right mate, compressed air is better providing you have the tools and experience to use that method. The whole point of these videos is to show only construction methods with basic workshop equipment that the average bloke can use and be competent with to build a replica drivable tank. For blokes that have advanced skills and access to more specialized tools and equipment, then it stands to reason that they would use them. The purpose is to encourage the average bloke not scare them off.
