You should create a video about it and post it as a video response.
By: motamanx. on 17 Nov 08, 01:38:39
It IS a National Treasure! If I had a few extra bucks, I'd buy it myself and wrap up in it.
By: alicen639. on 16 Nov 08, 16:47:23
Thanks for sharing this, Ultranothing. I've always wondered what the highest assessed item was on the Antiques Roadshow. It's always nice to see these valuable treasures come from people's homes who have no idea they have something so special.

What is even more amazing is the messages and comments I receive from people telling me how "stupid" it is and questioning my sexual preference for posting something so "gay". I just don't understand how a human being with even basic emotional response could not be affected in some way by watching (especially) this, and the other videos. Maybe they're just too "cool".

Did they check it for small pox?

this shit almost made me cry. just thinking about the older guys life and how he lived almost his whole life with that thing.
By: birdshake. on 04 Nov 08, 21:39:29
Whatever happened to it? I'm assuming he cashed out? I'm hoping that a museum or something bought it. These kind of things need to be taken care of.

Yes...YES!!! I know! We ALL know! It's been said at least a dozen times by a dozen other people! That's why I changed the description of the video, so I wouldn't have to hear it anymore! These videos are from the OFFICIAL "Top Ten Treasures" as found on the PBS website! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE INFORMATION!

I want to thank you, Ultranothing, for posting this and the other vids. I have watched each of them many times, and enjoyed them. I have been surprised to read so many nasty comments to this video. Why anyone would be inspired to be rude by watching this is beyond me. Thanks for putting up with the BS. And thanks again for posting.

i dun know about navajo first phase. a famous general or something like that?
By: Ngirl26. on 19 Oct 08, 01:31:51
It is official for the appraisals that were shown on tv. However, comp is right. Another guy had signatures of every single cabinet member from the Washinton to FDR Administration which was appraised at a million dollars.
By: Ultranothing. on 16 Oct 08, 00:07:14
My name is a reference to a successful gag-gift I marketed several years ago...for the person who has everything. "The guy who owns it", Ted, lives in Tucson, AZ. with his wife, Virginia. This episode was filmed in Tucson in 2002 and is most definitely from the U.S. syndication of the show. Tell me, "eh"...If stupidity were painful, would you think you'd try a bit harder?
By: IrishHooligan79. on 13 Oct 08, 19:20:11
U.S broadcast?? The guy who owns it lives in Ontario, Canada where the appraiser is from as well. In fact this is actually taken form the CANADIAN Antiques Roadshow "eh". Ultranothing.....ya well your name says it all.
By: tehflo. on 12 Oct 08, 18:36:39
U'r right, just because it was apprasied for this much, doesn't mean that its what people will pay... ... .. ... execpt for the fact that a Museum in Detriot paid $750,000 dollars to purchase it for their display.
By: JayIlli98. on 09 Oct 08, 23:53:30
I believe you are both right. This is the most expensive thing that has ever AIRED on TV (aka that has been shown on tv). However I distinctly recall on one of their specials that a person had signatures of cabinet members and others of many presidents and it appraised I think close to a million dollars. The person that owned it asked to NOT be put on TV.
