The problem is politics. Yoshinobu Nishizaki is legally the owner of the Yamato rights but it was Reiji Matsumoto, whose concepts (after discarding much of Nishizaki's ideas) made Yamato what it is today and is seen in the eyes of fans as the true father of Yamato. You can look more of the Space Battleship Yamato mess up in Wikipedia.

dude, i'm with you all the way on every word you said. i still have pics even today of star blazers that i drew back in '82 and '83. me and my friends used to play neighborhood baseball and we would all take quit by 4pm to go home and watch it. i really wish they would remake star blazers with todays art and graphics.

Man, I remember watching Star Blazers before school when I was in the 2nd grade - I remember getting up as early as 6 AM to watch it. Heck, I even used to draw pictures of the Yamato, although nothing that would do justice to the real thing, LOL. ;) Now I've seen the man behind the song. I can't help but feel the energy of this song. Even if I didn't understand the lyrics I'd still love it, becuase of the way Isao Sasaki puts so much emotion in singing it.

This may come as a shock to some of you but Sasaki also fought in 2 MMA fights with 2 wins under his belt winning both by submission in the first round, one of the fighters he beat was Christian Wellisch who would later make a name for himself for fighting in 4 UFC events. I know only having 2 fights may not be a big deal but he fought in both 2001 and 2003, the fact he went there being a new comer to the sport at that age (35 in his first MMA fight) alone winning both fights is impressive.

Actually, Sadako did reach her goal of 1000 cranes ? she started folding another thousand, but died before she reached her second goal. I suggest you read the book "One Thousand Paper Cranes: The Story of Sadako and the Children's Peace Statue" by Takayuki Ishii.

Okay Im in Vancouver B.C and I read about the Peace Crane Project. Then I found out about Sadako Sasaki. So It said that folding a paper crane is like making peace - some of the steps can be difficult and at first it may seen imposible. However there is always more than one route and when all is said done, no matter whether it is big or small, in the end it is a thing of beauty. This is our cry. This is our Prayer Peace in the world P.S: Smallest cranes are the hardest to make.

Sadako's friends folded the rest of the cranes. Let's hope someday all the world's people come together like Sadako's friends did. Someday, maybe you can see the statue of Sadako and the cranes in Hiroshima!

The sadako and the thousand paper cranes book is so sad... this story is more of a kid version so its happier then the real thing but this one is ok...sorry i don`t really like the animations..but still good effort so 5!
