I have a oil lamp from the late 1800s made in N.Y. I think it was made for a boat,it has a red jewel on one side and green on the other.

Five stars for content, for sharing these rarities. I have one lamp, myself--carbide, USA, about 1910 (I guess). By making a new, soft rubber gasket, I ran it several times with lump carbide. The light was brilliant and about as powerful as a 2 D cell flashlight, whiter light though. It's in nickel plate. Please put up a new video with clearer images when you can.
