i first heard them on kpfk in 1980 the song was "fireworks" they're also great live, saw them in LA during the 1984 tour. has anyone wondered why the intro music on their live LP,that dates me, is the "rights on spring" by stravinsky, it's because he got rotten veggies and fruit thrown at him when he first played it, just like the banshees got shit thrown at them during their first live appearance and i think BILLY IDOL stood in playing on that gig. just adding some history about the band.

Well, it could make the next costume change go quicker if they have their pointe shoes already on~ I do remember at least two occasions where the principal dancers performed Arabian on pointe. Once was a soloist and another was a duet. The duet was very beautiful and sensual. The dancers were guest artists from Russia. To be honest, their dance was the most memorable for me.

In all of the nutcracker plays and movies that i've seen, the arabian dancer(s) are wearing pointe shoes, but never acually stand on pointe; i think it's just because they want us all to know that they are the arabian dancers right off the spot. But i love their costumes.

yes, this melody is supposed to be langorous, drifting, moody -- slowing it down a bit as tehy did here just makes it better. thats cool! I have a gray arabian who did endurance. But now he has arthritis . so he has come up lame. I still have him though. I am sure my horse could come in 1st in a race. but Iam not sure ,. hahaha...mineses was an endurance horse...butt now she just stays in the field & is RIDABLE!!!!!we have a wooden pole in the field and she GALLOPS over it or jumps it!she can RUN i CAN TELL u THAT MUCH!!!if i get her on a race track with ALL those throughbreds,she can whoop their BUTTS!!!all they'll see is a chestnut blur FLY BY!!!!!!!butt i LUV her....she CAN be VERY stubborn tho!well rite me ANYTIME u want!

Cass Ole is far from being Polish, he is a CMK Arabian - the one you can ride. The CMK type won't win top places at Scottsdale which demand airy delicate. Lady Ann Blunt's words about the remnants of Ali Pasha Sherif's horses still apply today... It was type etherealized to extinction.

ahem..these babies are the future of the arabian horse ppl! they are only little, and adorable! you have to start them early...how else are trainers supposed to make broke horses? my arab is indeed polish, he is by the great Golbaske, a descendant of Bask himself...so you dis on polish arabs, you dis on one of the best well known bloodlines in history. they are all great, both polish and desert bred. champion bloodlines or not. they are wonderful
